Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her acting career began in supporting roles in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). On the FX series Dirt, she was Willa McPherson, reporter. She also played the role of a supporting character in the show that ran for a short time, The Ex List. The first season of FX's American Horror Story, she played Moira O'Hara's character, a young one. She later played Kaylee in the third season. She voiced Jessie Anderson's character in AMC's The Walking Dead. Sophie was the character she played in the NBC show This Is Us. She also voiced several characters in Family Guy's animated comedy series. Since 2019, she has starred as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien, Connecticut until she was 10 years old at which point her mom and her relocated to California [1The couple lived there for a year before finally arriving in Mill Valley. Breckenridge became interested in acting, photography as well as singing around the age of 13. Breckenridge re-located to Los Angeles with the help of her mother when she was 15.
