Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister, as well as a fellow UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. The next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko took a hiatus to concentrate on boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. In 2018, she left the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina showed off her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera with knees. Antonina accepted the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC during her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight by unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. This earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko was 1-2 over her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in round two to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
